Umingmaq Paddle Touring Center had a booth at Canoecopia last weekend. And, without a doubt, it was great weekend to introduce our shop to the paddling world.
It was small booth and we were only allowed to sell our Gram Kajak Greenland paddles, but we almost completely sold out of paddles!
Many thanks to everyone who bought or ordered paddles from us over the weekend. A special shoutout to Qajaq USA as well, as these traditional paddling enthusiasts kept people coming to our booth the whole weekend through.
If you’re into Greenland style paddling and you haven’t checked out Qajaq USA, you should get on over to their site and “roll” around a bit, they are true enthusiasts and a great bunch of folks.
If you’ve been looking at our site, you’ll see that we’re low in stock on Gram Kajak paddles, however, if you’re thinking of ordering, give me a call, as we currently have an order in with Lars at Gram Kajak and we have over a dozen paddles on the way, we’re also going to stock a new model (For us): The 8900D, as always, since we’re a touring shop, it’ll be a two piece, but this one is a touch lighter than the 8400D. It will be the same price as the 8400D and will give our customers another aesthetic and functional option.
If you’d like a special order paddle, let me know, our latest order is scheduled to ship on March 29.
