I hope you all have had as good of a summer season as we have had here at Umingmaq Paddle Touring Center!

After a fantastic Wisconsin River canoe trip, we got to spend about two weeks tromping around the mountains of Wyoming.

One of our daughters has long claimed the Moose as her Spirit Animal and it was a fantastic treat to spend a day and a half hanging out with a cow and her calf. While camped along West Tensleep Creek in the Bighorn National Forest, the cow and her calf spent their time grazing in a meadow across the creek as we fished, hung out and the girls built a fort.

Every once in a while, mom would look up to make sure we weren’t a threat and then go back to grazing with her calf.

The shop was also very busy this summer. We sold out of a great deal of inventory and are slowly rebuilding our offerings. Some of the exciting things going on for the Fall and into next season:

  1. We have a new container of Tiderace Sea Kayaks coming very soon (We can take orders until the end of November)
  2. We have a shipment of 22 Feelfree Kayaks (6 of which are already sold) that will be in stock by this Friday
  3. Gram Kajak Greenland paddles are plentiful, but we’ll be restocking again soon
  4. We have received a new shipment of Lendal Paddles
  5. We have an excellent selection of Recreational Barrel Works products
  6. I’m updating the website with inventory and pricing
  7. We will have some new brands coming soon

  1. When you get the chance please e-mail me with the Lendal paddles you received. I have not made up my mind if I am purchasing a Lendal Storm or Cadence X. I will want a 205cm in either. Let me know if these paddles are in stock with you… Regards Paul
